Our Tribe

Our mission is to offer an array of valuable social resources to help disadvantaged families throughout the DC Metropolitan area. Many of the communities we serve are also known as many of the most violent zip codes within the area. We are planted in an economically challenged community where drugs, violence, and crime are an everyday common occurrence affecting the kids, youth, and adults.

Back to School Summary

Our event was held at the historic Marvin Gaye Greening Center located in the heart of the Deanwood area on Saturday, September 12th.  Our families received backpacks, groceries, winter-boots, and thirteen haircuts, which were provided by"In and Out Barbers".

When a family is going through a difficult time, you start to question, ‘How am I going to do this? And then the hopelessness starts to settle in. But when the community comes together to help, it’s a way to give people hope!

“We’re proud to have created a "Tribe" that consists of KonsiderDis,  T.Y.P.E. DMV, King Tay Empire, Acee The Firm Foundation, and Washington Parks and People to provide free community engagement that will support families throughout the DC Metropolitan Area.  We couldn’t have done this without our partners Mikio University, She is Trini, and Momma Hood.

We’re just the instruments.
