Youth Residents react to the crime in their community!

On Tuesday, May 20th, there was a shooting at the DCIAA track meet, just across the street from the youth residents' school. Understandably, many of them were feeling scared and anxious at the start of our session. We took the time to listen to their feelings and created their Public Service Announcement (PSA). It was an important moment for them to express their emotions and discuss how such incidents impact their daily lives. Creating a safe space for these conversations is crucial for their healing and understanding. Please listen below
